The Cottage

The cottage is named for the first time in the XIV century, with the name “Comellas Josanes”. Two centuries later, due to the purchase of the house, it changed its name as it is known nowadays: Albareda. The principal structure dates from 1771 and during the XIX century, new constructions finally gave it the actual look. The house has been restored and decorated respecting the content of past generations,

and at the same time, including in it all the actual amenities. Situated on the high plateau of Serrateix, in an altitude of 765 meters, it enjoys excellent views to the Pirineu, the Montseny and the Massís de Montserrat. The cottage is surrounded by fields and forests of holm oaks and pine trees, which isolate it and give it a special charm and calm.
